The third and final chapter of the Hindi Drishyam franchise has arrived in theatres on October 2. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran and a new police officer played by Jaideep Ahlawat joining the final chapter. The wait is over for fans of the Drishyam franchise. Drishyam: The Conclusion has released in cinemas on October 2, 2026, bringing Ajay Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar for what is being presented as the final chapter of the Hindi franchise. The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak and continues the story after the events of Drishyam 2. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes and has received a UA 16+ certification..
What Is Drishyam: The Conclusion About?
The story once again revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar and his family. The previous two films established Vijay as a seemingly ordinary family man who used careful planning and an elaborate chain of events to protect his family after a murder. The third film picks up from that world but introduces a new challenge. The trailer indicates that pressure on Vijay and his family is increasing, while the investigation gets a new dimension with the arrival of another police officer. Jaideep Ahlawat plays SP Rajveer Singh Tomar, a new character who becomes an important challenge for Vijay. The film is not simply revisiting the previous mystery. The story moves into a new conflict involving the Salgaonkar family, the law and Vijay's attempts to protect the people closest to him..
What's Different About Drishyam 3?
This is perhaps the biggest point for fans of the franchise. The first two Hindi Drishyam films were adaptations of the Malayalam films starring Mohanlal. Drishyam: The Conclusion, however, follows a new Hindi story rather than simply adapting the next chapter of the Malayalam storyline. That means Vijay Salgaonkar's story is taking its own route. The film is written and directed by Abhishek Pathak, with the screenplay developed with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. For audiences who have followed the Hindi films from the beginning, this makes the third instalment particularly significant because it is designed to bring the Hindi version of Vijay's story to its conclusion..
Drishyam: The Conclusion Cast
Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, the central character of the franchise.
The returning cast includes:
Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar
Tabu as IG Meera Deshmukh
Shriya Saran as Nandini Salgaonkar
Ishita Dutta as Anju Salgaonkar
Mrunal Jadhav as Anu Salgaonkar
Rajat Kapoor in a returning role
The film also introduces Jaideep Ahlawat in the role of SP Rajveer Singh Tomar, while Prakash Raj is also part of the cast.
Why Jaideep Ahlawat's Character Matters
Jaideep Ahlawat's entry adds a new layer to the central conflict. His character, SP Rajveer Singh Tomar, represents a fresh challenge for Vijay at a point when the Salgaonkar family's past continues to create pressure. The trailer suggests that the police investigation is not simply repeating the approach seen in the earlier films. The new officer appears determined to challenge Vijay's carefully constructed version of events. How that confrontation develops is one of the film's central mysteries..
What Happened Before Drishyam 3?
The Hindi franchise began with Drishyam in 2015, followed by Drishyam 2 in 2022.
Across the two films, Vijay's intelligence and planning became the central element of the story as he attempted to protect his family from the consequences of a death and the subsequent investigation. Drishyam 2 ended with another major twist involving Vijay's efforts to stay ahead of the investigation. The third film now takes that story forward and places Vijay in another confrontation with the law. For viewers who need a quick refresher, the important point is simple: the Salgaonkars are still living with the consequences of what happened in the earlier films, and Vijay's biggest challenge may be keeping the truth hidden once again..
Drishyam 3 Release Date and Runtime
Drishyam: The Conclusion released in theatres on October 2, 2026. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes and is certified UA 16+. It is playing in Hindi across theatrical formats, including 2D and selected premium formats. The October 2 release also continues the franchise's association with the date that has become an important recurring element in the Drishyam story..
Is This Really the Final Chapter?
The film has been positioned as the third and final chapter of the Hindi Drishyam franchise, with the story specifically designed to conclude Vijay Salgaonkar's arc. That makes the release different from the earlier films. This time, audiences are not simply waiting for another twist in an ongoing series; the central question is how the Hindi version of Vijay's story will ultimately end. At the same time, the Malayalam Drishyam franchise follows a separate path, so the two versions should not be treated as identical continuations..
